How the Midlands Cash Buyers blog is written, sourced, reviewed and corrected, and where our own interest lies.
Every post on this blog is published under the name of the Midlands Cash Buyers Team. We are the people who run GSB Property Group Ltd, trading as Midlands Cash Buyers (Companies House number 15912318), and we buy houses directly across the West Midlands. Each post shows the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed.
Every factual claim is checked against the source we link to before a post goes live, and the team reviews the finished piece.
We buy houses for cash, so we have a commercial interest in some of the topics we write about, such as repossession, probate and divorce. We say so plainly. We do not present selling to us as the only option, and where free help exists we point to it, for example gov.uk, Citizens Advice, StepChange and National Debtline.
Our posts are general information. They are not legal, financial or tax advice, and every case is different. Where the law differs between England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, we say which nation a post covers. If you are unsure about your own situation, speak to a solicitor or a free debt adviser.
We review each post at least every six months, and sooner if the law or official guidance changes. When we change facts, figures or advice, we update the reviewed date. We do not change the date for cosmetic edits.
